A school bus became tangled in a live, low-hanging powerline Monday morning in Bath.

All students and the bus driver remained calm and patient as they waited for Central Maine Power Co. to remove the live electrical line, according to Bath Fire and Rescue.

Bath Fire and Rescue said that CMP was able to arrive quickly to remove the line.

“Kudos to these students for handling the unexpected with such grace and to CMP for arriving quickly to take care of the line safely!” the department said in a statement.
