A Sanford man was driving a dump truck in Arundel on Tuesday when it caught on fire.
Logan Ricker, 19, was driving a 2005 Kenworth dump truck, owned by N.M. Curtis Earthworks of Berwick, on Route 111, also known as Alfred Road, when the truck began smoking, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Ricker pulled over, and shortly after, the dump truck was engulfed in flames, the sheriff’s office said.
Ricker wasn’t injured.
Alfred Road was closed for an extended period during rush-hour traffic.
No additional information was released.
