A Connecticut man died Friday evening when the motorcycle he was driving crashed while exiting the Maine Turnpike, police said Saturday night.
Zachary Swain, 21, was pronounced dead at the crash site, according to Shannon Moss, spokeswoman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Swain, who was southbound, did not make it around the curve on Biddeford exit 32’s off-ramp, struck the guard rail and was thrown from the motorcycle, Moss said.
The crash occurred at 6:28 p.m., police said.
Police closed the off-ramp for about two hours while officers investigated the crash, Moss said.
