I think Ron Jarvella seems a bit disingenuous in his letter to the Bangor Daily News cautioning us not to return Donald Trump to the White House. He failed to acknowledge that the spike in the unemployment rate was due to COVID-19 and the shuttering of all but “essential” businesses. He also omits the fact that inflation rose under the current administration to 40-year highs. Mortgage rates nearly doubled. Consumer rates for auto loans and credit cards have  skyrocketed. Commercial loan rates tied to Wall Street prime are at 20-year highs.

Prices for groceries, housing, energy, gasoline, etc., have eclipsed gains in income for most Americans. I am not advocating for one candidate over another, just pointing out that Jarvella should be fair and consider all facts.
