One person was killed in a collision involving a dump truck in Waterville on Wednesday.
The collision happened at the intersection of Trafton and West River roads about 2:30 p.m., according to Waterville police Maj. Jason Longley.
Longley said that one person had died, while a second was taken to Northern Light Inland Hospital with serious injuries.
The collision involved a small dump truck and a Toyota Corolla. Witnesses who were working on a roof near the intersection told the Waterville Morning Sentinel that the Toyota was turning onto West River Road when the dump truck struck it.
No additional information was immediately available.
