Matthew Gagnon was partially correct when he wrote in his July 4 column, “Let this be a lesson: Sometimes your opponents are right, even if they’re being opportunistic partisan hacks.” This advice should be accepted by both Republicans and Democrats.
Both parties deserve a much better presidential candidate. President Joe Biden may be getting older. I think former President Donald Trump will never be known for telling the truth or respecting the rights or opinions of others. The country deserves better.
