Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson made a trip to southern Maine last weekend as part of his business venture with a recreational cannabis company.

The Tyson 2.0 cannabis brand was founded by the boxer in October 2021, just a year after Maine legalized recreational cannabis use. Tyson’s brand is sold at East Coast Cannabis in Eliot, where he made the Friday stop.

According to Seacoast Online, East Coast Cannabis started carrying Tyson 2.0 products in 2023. On Friday, Tyson took pictures with some of the customers, as well as promoting East Coast Cannabis’ new 15,500-square-foot cultivation space, which is expected to open in September.

One customer who was able to take a picture with Tyson posted the photo with the caption “Ain’t life grand and wonderful” in a  Facebook post about the interaction.
