The Maine State Police will speak at 2 p.m. in Kittery on Thursday afternoon to discuss details of the shooting that occurred on the Piscataqua Bridge spanning the Maine-New Hampshire border.

The shooting left one man dead. The man allegedly killed a woman in Troy, New Hampshire, overnight before driving to the Piscataqua River Bridge, according to the New Hampshire attorney general’s office.

Police also found an 8-year-old child had been fatally shot inside the man’s vehicle, the New Hampshire attorney general’s office said Thursday morning.
