A car crashed through part of the Maine Savings Amphitheater fence near downtown Bangor on Monday.

The car went through the fence along Main Street near Shaw’s around 2:15 p.m. Monday, Bangor Fire Assistant Chief Casey Perry said.

The 47-year-old driver told police she was driving when she had chest pain and her vision suddenly went blurry, Bangor police said in a news release.

She then hit a light pole and a tree and crashed through the fence before stopping against a steel barrier behind it, police said.

She was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. No charges are expected, police said.
