Pregnancy can be a dangerous time in a woman’s life. Over the years, medical advancements reduced the risk of maternal death and adverse health complications. That is, until now. As abortion rights have been repealed and laws passed by legislators with no to little medical knowledge, women’s access to vital health care has been restricted.

We are reversing any progress, once again raising the risk of health complications and even death for pregnant women. Kamala Harris is about moving forward, not backwards. She believes that health care decisions should be made by medical professionals, not legislators. Abortion care is health care. Protect it by voting Kamala Harris on Nov. 5.
