Donald Trump recently stopped answering questions at a campaign event to instead spend nearly 40 minutes listlessly swaying to music. In my view, Trump’s blank expression and uneven rocking side to side motion made him appear to be lost in a maze within himself, incapable of meeting the moment at his own rally.

Respectfully, Trump is an elderly man, and I’m afraid his behavior reminds me of seeing other elderly people experience episodes of diminished mental clarity commonly known as “sundowning.” My concerns about Trump’s mental and physical health only grow knowing that he refuses to release his current medical records. Why is Trump keeping us in the dark? With his history of boasting, it seems to me Trump would delight in showing off his medical records if they weren’t troubling.

Kamala Harris is nearly 20 years younger than Trump and, in my view, demonstrates her vigor and sharp mind by reaching out to voters and working to bring a new generation of leadership to Washington. In jarring contrast, Trump is 78-years old and lethargically swayed to music rather than answer additional questions to sway voters.

It’s my sincere belief that Mainers statewide should vote for Harris, and I hope that when the music stops on Election Day, Harris is elected the next president of the United States.
