Bangor police found a person dead inside a parked car in the garage at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center late Saturday morning, according to Sgt. Jason McAmbley.

Police went to the garage after someone called them shortly after 11 a.m. to say there might be a dead person in a vehicle.

Bangor detectives and members of the Evidence Response Team are investigating the death, McAmbley said.

The state medical examiner’s office will do an autopsy to determine how the person died, according to McAmbley. Police said there is no danger to the public, and released no other information.
