Police on Monday identified the man who died in a fire at a homeless encampment in Bangor earlier this month.
Joseph Demanuele, 35, of Bangor died Nov. 10 after a fire broke out in a tent at the encampment, known locally as Camp Hope or Tent City, off Cleveland Street, Maine State Police said.
Demanuele was found deceased at the scene. His identity was not immediately known following an autopsy.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
