A Lamoine man was arrested Sunday after police say he burglarized a market in Ellsworth.

Marshall Fowler, 34, has been charged with burglary, criminal mischief and violation of conditions of release, according to the Ellsworth Police Department.

Fowler allegedly burglarized Friends & Family Market on State Street on Sunday, stealing cigarettes and scratch-off lottery tickets valued at approximately $600.

Police executed a search warrant at a residence where the suspect, who was caught on security camera, lived but wasn’t at home.

Later in the day, police stopped a vehicle in which Fowler was a passenger. Fowler was detained and taken to the Ellsworth police station for questioning.

He was being held at the Hancock County Jail.
