Update: The wrong-way driver died in the crash and another driver was injured.

A crash on Interstate 95 has caused a traffic diversion near Pittsfield on Tuesday morning.

According to the Maine State Police, the crash occurred in the southbound lane near mile marker 148.

According to Lt. Aaron Turcotte, officials believe the crash was caused by a wrong-way driver.

Traffic is being diverted at the Pittsfield exit at mile marker 150.

Further details were not immediately available.
