A man allegedly robbed a Gardiner pharmacy Thursday evening.

David Knox, 37, of Gardiner was charged with robbery, according to the Gardiner Police Department.

Knox allegedly robbed the Walgreens on Spring Street about 6:42 p.m. before fleeing on foot, Gardiner police said Friday morning.

It wasn’t immediately clear what Knox took during the robbery.

Police eventually tracked Knox down to the Winter Street area about 8:30 p.m. and arrested him.

He was being held at the Kennebec County Jail in Augusta on $8,000 bail.

No additional information was immediately available.
