An unattended lobster boat sank on its mooring at the Fisherman’s Heritage Lobster Co-op in Friendship on Tuesday morning, according to the local harbormaster.
Nobody was injured.
Scott Delano, the harbormaster, said several people went out to the boat to help, but it couldn’t be saved. He did not know the name of the lobster boat and declined to answer more questions.
The sinking was reported before 8 a.m.
