Mainers woke up on Monday to a fresh layer of snow that made for a messy morning commute.

The snow is expected to peter out in the morning, but will return Monday evening into Tuesday. More snowfall is in store for later this week, with the forecast calling for potentially more powder Thursday and again this weekend.

Here’s the latest snowfall report from the National Weather Service as of 11 a.m. Monday.
