Three people were seriously injured in a vehicle crash Saturday night on Airline Road in Clifton, according to police.
The crash was reported at about 8:20 p.m. near where Airline Road — also known as Route 9 — intersects with Chick Hill Road, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
The three injured people have all been transported to the hospital.
The road was initially reduced to one lane after the crash. Shortly after 9 p.m., the sheriff’s office asked drivers passing through that area to use caution as deputies processed the scene.
