Police seized more than 23 pounds of processed marijuana and 1,647 marijuana plants while searching a Dixfield property Friday morning.
According to the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant for the property on Porter Road was issued after authorities were tipped off about a large-scale illegal marijuana growing operation at the residence.
No one was home when local, county, state and federal officers conducted the search.
A 38-year-old Boston woman owns the property, according to Chief Deputy James Urquhart of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office.
