The University of Maine overpowered the University of Connecticut on the way to its first Hockey East championship title in 21 years on Friday night.

The Black Bears finished out Friday’s game at TD Garden in Boston with a 5-3 victory over the Huskies.

Fans of all ages turned out to support UMaine on Friday night, and saw the Black Bears hold off UConn despite a tight third period.
