A Guilford man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly possessing child pornography.

Mason Mickle, 23, was employed by a local school district, WABI reported.

In December, police got a tip from the chat app Discord. The Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit investigated and learned that a user had uploaded a sexually explicit video involving a minor, according to the station.

Police traced the video back to Mickle and allegedly found the student ID of a current Piscataquis Community Schools student at Mickle’s apartment, according to court documents cited by WABI.

Mickle reportedly claimed he never touched a child sexually, according to WABI.

He is out on bail and his employment status is not currently known, according to the station.
