A fire destroyed a home in Limington and left a man seriously injured Thursday morning.

Investigators have determined that the fire was intentionally set at the Boothy Road home, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

A man was seriously injured in the fire and was airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he remained in serious condition Friday.

The home was a total loss, Moss said Friday morning.

The investigation is ongoing, and Moss said no additional information is available.
