Another Maine health system has been targeted by a possible hack.
Technicians on Sunday identified “unusual activity” within Central Maine Healthcare’s computer systems, a spokesperson said Monday.
They immediately shut down the system, including servers and phone systems.
Central Maine Medical Center, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital are receiving and treating patients and doctor offices remain open.
No additional information was immediately available.
That news comes just days after St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor, which belongs to the Covenant Health network, was targeted in a cyberattack, which prompted a shutdown of its data systems, resulting in intermittent phone and internet outages.
