Actor Joe Manganiello posted a gallery of photos to his social media accounts from Portland’s Peaks Island this week and waxed nostalgic about returning to a familiar haunt.

“In a lot of ways this was me coming home for the first time in many years,” the “True Blood” and “Magic Mike” star wrote, adding that he spent every summer on the island when he was growing up.

“I’m happy to report that everything was right where I left it… right down to the Moxie, Whoopie Pies, lobster rolls, ferry boats, Sandy Beach, & old WWII bunkers,” he said alongside pics of boiled lobsters at Island Lobster Company, scenes from around Peaks Island and a photo of himself holding up a Hannigan’s Island Market sweatshirt.

“Damn I missed this place. I promise I won’t ever stay away that long again,” he wrote.
