The Lumineers returned to Bangor’s waterfront Tuesday night, performing in the Queen City for the first time in two years.

The alternative folk band was supported by special guest Hippo Campus at the Maine Savings Amphitheater concert part of its Automatic World Tour.

The group was formed in 2005 by Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion, piano).

The next concert at the waterfront will be Shania Twain on July 22. During her stop in Bangor, Twain plans to donate 50,000 meals to Maine’s Good Shepherd Food Bank organization.
