Sunday’s storm got so intense that the winds peeled the roof off a building in Falmouth.

That storm pummeled parts of Maine with hail the size of half dollars and buffeted the state with winds gusting up to 60 mph, according to a National Weather Service alert.

In Falmouth, those winds brought down trees — including three that fell on a single home and another tree that fell on a moving car, according to Falmouth Fire-EMS.

Then the winds tore the roof off part of a commercial building on Route 1.

Despite the damage, at least in Falmouth, no one was hurt.
