A motorcyclist is dead after crashing into a tree in Old Orchard Beach.
A 50-year-old Old Orchard Beach man lost control of his motorcycle on Temple Avenue about 11:35 p.m. Thursday and crashed into a tree.
The man died at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to police.
Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
