Update: A man and a dog died as a result of the crash.
Route 69 in Newburgh has been closed because of a serious tractor-trailer collision.
The tractor-trailer and a sports car collided head-on on Route 69, between Route 202 and North Road, about 11:55 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
The road will remain closed for several hours as police investigate the crash.
Drivers should seek alternative routes.
