Bangor is scaling back its public bus service because of a driver shortage.

The city is temporarily discontinuing the Capehart 1 bus. Stops on that route will be served once an hour rather than every 30 minutes, according to the city.

Additionally, Center Street and Hammond Street will be served as a combined route, with a bus departing from downtown to service the Center Street route quarter past the hour and a bus will depart downtown to service the Hammond Street route at quarter of the hour.

The city is working to update its mobile app to reflect those changes.
