An Auburn woman died on Tuesday morning after her car crashed head-on with a FedEx truck in the central Maine town of Turner.

The two-vehicle crash was reported at about 9:56 a.m. on Auburn Road (Route 4) near SR1 Recreation, according to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.

Based on a preliminary investigation, the sheriff’s office said Jacqueline Langevin was driving a 2005 Volvo station wagon when she crossed the centerline and collided with a FedEx delivery truck driven by 37-year-old Cory Parent.

Langevin was pronounced dead at the scene. Parent was brought to Central Maine Medical Center for medical evaluation of injuries that were not life-threatening, according to the sheriff’s office.

Auburn Road was closed to traffic for more than four hours while the crash was investigated.
