A 28-year-old man was killed Sunday afternoon after a car struck him as he was walking along a road in the York County town of Lyman.
Dominic Small of Lyman was walking east on Alfred Road when he was hit by a red 2017 Ford Focus driven in the same direction by Ronald Pendelton, 37, of Old Orchard Beach, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office. The crash was reported at approximately 2 p.m. in the area of 2277 Alfred Road.
Small was taken by ambulance to Maine Medical Center in Portland, but he died while en route.
Police are still investigating the crash.
