Two Colby College buildings were evacuated Monday morning because of a bomb threat.
The threatening email claimed an explosive device had been planted on campus, according to the Waterville Police Department.
Media outlets reported that the email claimed the device was in the college library.
Police evacuated two buildings out of an abundance of caution while authorities searched for a possible explosive device. But police do not currently believe “threat to be credible.”
The investigation is ongoing, and police aren’t releasing additional details.
