Two men have been arrested for a drug overdose that left a man dead in Tremont back in 2024.

David Baker, 60, of Franklin has been charged with aggravated drug trafficking resulting in death, aggravated furnishing of drugs resulting in death and aggravated furnishing of drugs resulting in bodily injury, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

Nicholas Parlatore, 55, of Tremont has been charged with aggravated furnishing of drugs resulting in death and aggravated furnishing of drugs resulting in bodily injury.

On Jan. 13, 2024, two men were found unresponsive inside a home in Tremont. Deputies and EMS rendered first aid, but one of the men died, the sheriff’s office said Friday morning.

After an investigation over the past year and a half, Baker and Parlatore were arrested Wednesday and taken to the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth.

They were arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Ellsworth District Court. Their bail was set at $15,000.
