Being from away, but living in Bangor since 1987 I pay attention to our city government and take notice when something is taking place. If I had a complaint I spoke to the city manager or at the city council meeting. I think that if you want to speak you should do it in person.

It seems that having people speak using Zoom has been abused and should stop. It’s being used as a platform by the extreme right (Nazi sympathizers). Bangor does not need to be a springboard for any Nazi!

Councilor Joe Leonard’s actions about the neo-Nazi supporter are understandable but, I feel, have been over the top and he needs to learn to act appropriately. I voted for him and have been dissatisfied.

Qualifications for city council should not be that you were once homeless, refused to pay your taxes or have an extensive criminal past.
