Most of Maine was treated to a light show in the skies on Monday night.

The brilliant colors in the skies, caused by geomagnetic activity in the atmosphere, were seen throughout the state and even as far south in the U.S. as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, according to reports.

The New England Outdoors Center captured some breathtaking displays over Millinocket Lake on Monday night, and shared their photos with the Bangor Daily News.
