A handful of intermittent snow flurries were reported across the Bangor area on Monday, a drastic change from the temperate conditions in the region over the weekend.
The snow started suddenly mid-morning Monday, and then stopped suddenly around 11:40 a.m., according to observations by a number of people in Bangor. It was also accompanied by some rain and freezing rain.
There have been multiple reports of snow flurries throughout various parts of the state, including central Maine and parts of Hancock County.
Snow is expected across central Maine and some northern regions throughout the day Monday, after temperatures dipped below freezing overnight. Down East regions will most likely experience rain, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service.
