The City of Bangor has released its road work plans for the rest of the year.

The road work plans include significant paving projects on Essex Street, Forest Avenue through to Stillwater, and Stillwater Avenue from Essex Street to Broadway.

Details on dates for the planned work have not been disclosed yet.

Traffic on Main Street has been temporarily interrupted until the end of this week due to storm drain maintenance near the YMCA construction site.

Construction has also started at Interstate 95’s Hogan Road exit.

The “diverging diamond interchange,”   first proposed in 2016, will radically reshape traffic at the Interstate 95 overpass and ramps. Intermittent traffic delays and route changes can be expected in the coming years, as the project is slated to wrap up in 2029.

Suggestions for areas needing evaluation may be submitted through the City of Bangor website, bangormaine.gov, and by clicking on “Report a Concern.”
