Maine drug enforcement agents and Bath police arrested a man on Wednesday for allegedly selling drugs while he was on bail for the same offense.
Police had been receiving information about alleged drug trafficking at a Cottage Street house where 37-year-old George Markos lived. Markos was on bail for aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs after selling to the MDEA in 2025, the agency said.
Agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Bath police met with Markos at his home on Wednesday and conducted a search as conditions of his release, finding $1,391 in suspected drug proceeds, 84 grams of fentanyl, 7 grams of cocaine, 2 grams of methamphetamine and 1 gun, the MDEA said.
The agency estimated the drugs were worth roughly $11,000.
Markos is being held at Twin Bridges Jail in Wiscasset, pending his court appearance.
