The Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles is launching a new mobile branch to make services more accessible for rural Mainers.
The BMV mobile branch is a portable unit that will travel to rural areas without direct services.
The unit will also visit underserved communities across the state.
On Thursday, the mobile branch will host events in Augusta on Anthony Avenue at 10 a.m. and will also make a stop in Belfast at 3 p.m.
Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows is expected to attend both events along with several other lawmakers.
