A dryer fire that spread to nearby cardboard materials triggered a second-alarm response at a Main Road building Saturday night, according to the Holden Fire/Rescue Department.

Crews from Holden and Eddington fire departments responded shortly after 10 p.m. and found smoke throughout the building before upgrading it to a working fire. The fire was quickly brought under control.

Two occupants were evaluated by EMS at the scene. No injuries were reported, according to a Facebook post.

Eddington, Dedham, Brewer, Orrington and Hampden fire departments assisted, along with Holden police, who handled traffic control.
