A prisoner is at large after he left his job site in Thomaston without permission Monday.

Brian Day, 45, is a resident of Bolduc Correctional Facility in Thomaston.

He was serving a sentence of three and a half years for theft, forgery and other offenses, but had earned the right to work in the community, according to the Maine Department of Corrections.

The department is asking anyone with information about Day or who believes they have seen him to call 911 and not to approach or engage with him.

Ethan Andrews is the night editor. He was formerly the managing editor at The Free Press and worked as a reporter for The Republican Journal and Pen Bay Pilot.
