Six of the seven Republicans running for governor in Maine’s June 9 primary will debate at 7 p.m. Tuesday for the first time on statewide TV.
The candidates are lobbyist and former Maine Senate Majority Leader Garrett Mason, entrepreneurs Jonathan Bush and Owen McCarthy, former fitness executive Ben Midgley, real estate agent David Jones and Robert Wessels, a former Paris selectman. Lawyer and former federal government official Bobby Charles has declined both TV debates this week.
The debate will be hosted by Portland ABC affiliate WMTW in its Westbrook studio. WABI in Bangor and WAGM in Presque Isle are co-hosting and broadcasting the event. You can also watch the debate on their social media channels.
