It was recently Patriots Day! I remember when this was the time to visit the grandparents in Massachusetts with my children. Massachusetts, where it’s a real holiday and where real patriots started it all.
This year, America needs us to celebrate by being patriots. Do whatever you can to stop what I consider the madman in the White House.
Write letters to Congress — they have the power to do so, if they would only use it. Join little protests. Plan to vote, and get a neighbor to vote. Put out a sign. Show that you know that what’s happening is so very wrong, and do it with your words and actions.
Help those who are most hurt by President Donald Trump’s behavior in any way you can. Show love to our earth, which he is so careless of. Believe in America.
I’m hoping that Americans are still good people and that we can do better. May they not be futile hopes, these hopes that I hang on to.
