As we find ourselves close to the primary election, I am energized about the very strong potential of Dr. Nirav Shah as the next governor of Maine — and the future of this great state my family and I call home.
We are living in terrifying times, where our public health system, freedom, humanity, and way of life is under attack — creating so much division in a country that has “united” in its very name.
As a pediatric nurse and mother of two living and working in Maine, I see firsthand the day-to-day struggles of the working class. I see daily confusion of new and seasoned parents with the conflicting and non-research backed opinions and decisions coming out of the current administration. I see daily distrust in the very medical professionals who have dedicated their lives to the health and wellbeing of those they care for. And to think all this is seemingly based on opinions and decisions to back a corrupt agenda.
I encourage all Mainers, despite your partisan views, to remember the leadership Dr. Shah exhibited just a few years ago. He handled that time with grace, compassion for all, and respected all perspectives — becoming a trusted voice in both Maine and on a national level.
Dr. Shah is a leader with not just an impressive resume, but a leader who I believe truly cares for humanity, and a leader who stands by his values and morals. I wholeheartedly trust Dr. Shah to lead us through the next few years, and you should too.
