A man and woman have been accused of crack cocaine trafficking in Westbrook.
Amanuel Sentayehu, 29, of Westbrook has been charged with aggravated drug trafficking; while Aria Pomerleau, 30, of Bridgton has been charged with aggravated drug trafficking and falsifying physical evidence, according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Their arrests came after an investigation into alleged drug trafficking out of a hotel on the Portland-Westbrook cityline.
They were spotted leaving the hotel Thursday, leading to a traffic stop on Larrabee Road, the MDEA said Friday morning.
During a subsequent search, police found nearly 13 ounces of crack cocaine, along with approximately $20,000 in suspected drug proceeds.
Sentayehu and Pomerleau were taken to the Cumberland County Jail in Portland, where they were being held on $15,000 and $32,500 bail, respectively.
They were expected to make their initial court appearances on those charges later on Friday.
