As a lifelong Democrat, I am appalled at the utter stupidity of my party. From pushing to let sexual orientation issues upend school sports to giving the limelight to a completely unqualified and severely damaged individual like Graham Platner, we are inviting electoral disaster.
Rather than mounting a common sense appeal to the average Joe and Jill in order to combat the disaster of the Trump presidency, we seem to revel in fanaticism. Will we ever learn?
