A Portland man has been accused of crack cocaine trafficking.
Abdikeyr Mohamud, 38, has been charged with three counts of aggravated drug trafficking, according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
More charges are expected as the investigation proceeds.
Mohamud’s Tuesday arrest came after a month-long investigation into alleged drug trafficking out of his Kensington Street home in Portland.
Police stopped Mohamud on Washington Avenue on Tuesday after he left the Kensington Street address and arrested him without incident.
A subsequent raid at that residence turned up nearly 3 ounces of crack cocaine and other items “indicative of drug trafficking,” the MDEA said.
Mohamud was taken to the Cumberland County Jail, where he was being held on $25,000 bail.
He was expected to make his initial court appearance Wednesday.
