A Biddeford man allegedly assaulted several police officers last week as they tried to arrest him on sex assault charges.
Matthew Moscillo, 38, has been charged with gross sexual assault, unlawful sexual contact, unlawful sexual touching, and refusing to submit to arrest or detention with force causing injury, according to the Scarborough Police Department.
On Thursday morning, Scarborough and Falmouth police went to Moscillo’s workplace in Falmouth, where they attempted to arrest him for the sex charges.
But during his arrest, Moscillo allegedly resisted officers, leaving several of them with injuries.
He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail in Portland.
