A Brewer woman died Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Newburgh, according to police.

Darcel Geiser, 58, was driving north on the highway at approximately 1:30 p.m. when the vehicle went off the road and rolled several times, Shannon Moss, spokesperson for Maine Department of Public Safety, said Saturday evening in a release.

Geiser was not wearing a seatbelt and had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency responders, but was pronounced dead at the scene, Moss said.

The crash remains under investigation by Maine State Police. Additional information was unavailable late Saturday.
